Cricket Betting Tips for India vs New Zealand

New Zealand will be keen to improve their limited-overs record in India after not able to win anything on their last trip to the country. India will be confident to continue the winning momentum as Virat Kohli will try that his squad maintain their performances against New Zealand side that has a habit of producing upsets over big teams. Both the sides will battle it out in the first game of the one-day series to be played at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The game is set to start at 1:30pm Indian standard time.

India

India holds an impeccable record as a side despite their blip in the finals of Champions Trophy against Pakistan. Kohli’s side did inflict a whitewash on the Sri Lankans playing in Sri Lanka and also managed to brush aside Australia by 4-1 at home. Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma have been terrific as opening duo for the side. Sharma was superb in the recently concluded series against Australia and also managed to score two centuries in the five-match one day series. Dhawan did not take part in the Australian series due to personal problems. The left-hander will aim for a good show with the bat as he made roaring comeback in the Test arena against Sri Lanka three months back.

Virat Kohli also needs to raise his game as he has looked a bit weary with the bat. He needs to spend some time in the middle to get his groove back and start producing those big tons for India. Hardik Pandya has been star player for India in the last couple of months. The All-rounder has certainly hogged the limelight with his belligerent stroke-play and aggressive bowling to help India win games out of precarious situation. The bowling has looked good as Yuzvendra Chahal, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel has revived India’s strength in the spin department. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jaspreet Bumrah have been outstanding while Shardul Thakur has been rewarded for his excellent performances at the domestic circuit.

New Zealand

New Zealand also needs to play with a little more freedom as the side lost their extra bite after departure of Brendon McCullum. Martin Guptill and Kane Williamson have been leading runs scorer for the side in the format followed by left-hander Tom Latham who did exceedingly well in India last year. Colin Munro will partner Guptill at the top of the innings. Munro has been in excellent form of late while New Zealand has big worries in the middle order as Henry Nicholls, Glenn Phillips and Colin de Grandhomme will fight it out for a place in the lineup.

Tim Southee, Mathew Henry, Trent Boult and Adam Milne are four pace options for the side while Todd Astle is a leg-spinner chosen for the tour. Mitchell Santner retains his place in the lineup. So should be exciting series as red-hot India take on spirited New Zealand in the three-match one-day series starting from Sunday.
