Rising Pune Supergiant will face off against Sunrisers Hyderabad at home in the 24th game of Indian Premier League 2017. The game is set to be played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.
Steven Smith will be excited to get back on the field after six days rest while David Warner and co tasted two wins in a space of three days. Hyderabad is currently at third behind Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders. Pune are reeling at the bottom half of the table with two wins out of five games played so far in the competition. Their last game will give them confidence that Pune overcame Royal Challengers Bangalore in a game played away from home as Ben Stokes and Shardul Thakur produced inspirational spells to see the franchise notch-up their second win of the season. Smith will need to reshuffle his batting order and give more opportunities to in-form batsman Manoj Tiwary whose cameo at the end proved to decisive in Pune winning their last game.
Things seem to have got back to order as Hyderabad notched up consecutive wins in the league while Kane Williamson proved to be the right man for the side at no.3 as New Zealand batsman played a fantastic knock to help his side outclass Delhi Daredevils. Bhuvneshwar Kumar is in great form with the ball in hand while Mohammad Siraj and Siddharth Kaul also came good in the last game.
Hyderabad would be keen to better their away record as they have lost their two games on the road.
