Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kings XI Punjab:
Royal Challengers Bangalore is already out of the competition and are placed last on the points table with everything possible gone wrong this season. The last year finalist recorded their last total of 49 runs since the start of Indian Premier League. Bangalore will host Kings XI Punjab at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium as the hosts will play for pride in the remaining games of the competition. AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli have not been up to the mark as duo set so much higher standards with the bat last season. De Villiers has not been that great this season while Kohli has looked jaded after a grueling home season that saw him play 12 Tests in a row.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost eight games but the most disappointing aspect is the manner in which they conceded those defeats. The last game saw the side produce something better but still ended up on losing side as Mumbai Indians come out winner in a tight contest. Bangalore have not zeroed in on their final lineup as the franchise has been constantly making changes in the competition. Chris Gayle has been in and out of the side as West Indian batsman has not produce those blazing knocks once witnessed by fans in the league. Shane Watson and Samuel Badree not utilized properly. The surfaces are getting slower as the wear and tear is there as tournament will reach fag end of the competition.
Punjab will need to produce runs on the board as bowling has done a good job. Manan Vohra, Martin Guptill and Hashim Amla have been good at the top of the order. The middle order has not been that good as Glenn Maxwell has been pretty inconsistent with the bat. David Miller had a poor run this season as well while Morgan could also not create an impact on the runs sheer for the side. Sandeep Sharma and Axar Patel have been good in the last couple of games for Kings XI Punjab.
