Delhi Daredevils vs Mumbai Indians
The 45th game of Indian Premier League will see Delhi Daredevils face off against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai. Delhi seems to be getting on the act at the right moment after registering back to back wins in the competition. The last game win should serve as a morale booster for Delhi chased down 208 posted by Gujarat Lions at Feroz Shah Kotla. The hosts are placed at sixth position with eight points as they will face two-time champions Mumbai at Kotla.
Mumbai are comfortably at the top of points table with 16 points from 10 games so far in the competition. Rohit Sharma and co. has registered eight wins this season losing only to Rising Pune on two occasions. Delhi will look to break Mumbai momentum as they will need to win this game to make things easier for themselves to make it the last four of the competition.
Delhi has plenty of positives as Rishabh Pant starred with the bat in the last game. The left-hander was out of form but the last game saw a shift in approach as he produced the goods for Delhi in must-win game against Mumbai. Stand-in captain for Delhi, Karun Nair has led the side well in absence of injured Zaheer Khan. Nair must also contribute with the bat if Delhi wants to go all the way this season. He has tactically been sound with his fielding placing’s and he has considerable advantage in having one of the most potent bowling attacks in the competition.
Rohit Sharma has done well with the bat in the last few games after a string of low scores in the first half of Indian Premier League. He has been excellent and led the side well this season. Mumbai will be hoping that Harbhajan Singh gets fit as he provides control and is a wicket taking option for the side. Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya have been instrumental with the bat and ball for Mumbai this season in helping the franchise full off wins out of nowhere.
