Head to Head in World Cups- Australia have won seven games against New Zealand in World Cup competitions. In the previous edition, New Zealand won their round-robin game at Auckland but lost the final at Melbourne.

World Champions will be looking to continue their winning streak in the competition. The inclusion of Nathan Lyon and Jason Behrendroff added more variety to the bowling attack. Behrendroff was the standout bowler for the side at this venue against England. Left-arm pace bowler is a handful and always tends to the swing the new-ball for Australia.

Aaron Finch and David Warner have collectively scored close to 900 runs so far in this World Cup. The opening duo have shown excellent form and consistency to help Australia become the first side to qualify for the semifinals of the 2019 Cricket World Cup.

On the other hand, New Zealand lost their first game of the competition against Pakistan played at Edgbaston. The biggest cause of concern for Kiwis will be lack of runs from the opening pair of Martin Guptill and Colin Munro. The duo once again perished for low scores in the previous game played against Pakistan.

For New Zealand, Captain Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor are two bankable players in the batting department. Williamson managed to produce consistent good scores for the side in this World Cup. James Neesham produced a crucial innings of 97 runs to help New Zealand post a competitive score against  Pakistan.

All-rounder Colin de Grandhomme has  also delivered crucial performances with the bat for New Zealand in this World Cup.

In the bowling department, the side will be relying on the likes of Trent Boult, Lockie Ferguson and Colin de Grandhomme have picked up wickets for the side in the competition. Matt Henry might be replace by Tim Southee or Ish Sodhi depending on the conditions at Lords.
