Defending Champions Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to overcome Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator to be played at Bengaluru. The title holders Hyderabad aim will be produce their best game in the playoffs in order to successfully defend their crown. Kolkata will need to come up with plans if they want to topple David Warner and co.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have done well to reach this far as David Warner is the leading runs-scorer in the Indian Premier League and holds Orange Cap while Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the leading wicket-taker in the competition with 25 wickets to his name. Rashid Khan has also done well in his first outing this season. Yuvraj Singh, Kane Williamson and Shikhar Dhawan also have chipped with crucial performances for the side.

Kane Williamson might be slotted back into the side given he has man for the job on a pitch that might play a huge role in the outcome. Mohammad Nabi might lose out his place. Yuvraj Singh will have to go for a final checkup before confirming a place in the final XI. Vijay Shankar might find a place in the side as Deepak Hooda might be dropped to accommodate an in-form batsman. Moises Henriques is vital player at no.3 as Australian player does play a steady in the lineup and has shown consistency with the bat this season.

Kolkata Knight Riders only worries are Yusuf Pathan and Piyush Chawla in the lineup. Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine are one of most destructive opening pairs in the competition. Chris Lynn is one of most dangerous in the format at the moment as Kolkata will be expecting big things in the playoff game against Sunrisers. Robin Uthappa and Manish Pandey have been good with the bat this season. Gautam Gambhir has been highest-run scorer for Kolkata this season as he has led from the front with the bat.

Kuldeep Yadav and Nathan Coulter-Nile are best bowlers for Kolkata this season. Chris Woakes has left for England to perform international duties. Trent Boult might come in place of Chris Woakes for this game.

Players to watch out for

David Warner is certainly the man for the big occasion as opener would be keen to showcase his best with the bat against Kolkata. The left-handed would be confident of producing another big as he smashed a big ton against same side in the group stages to see Sunrisers notch up a convincing victory.

Chris Lynn will be the man to look out for Kolkata as Australian can certainly destroy any bowling lineup in the format. Lynn has done wonders before in such situations as Kolkata would be praying he comes good with the bat.

Head to Head record: Kolkata leds the overall record with 7 wins out of 11 games played.  Sunrisers have come out winners on four occasions. The sides have never played a game at Bengaluru.
