Virat Kohli is considered as a most aggressive captain of India’s cricket team. From a small kid who played for the local cricket teams to the captain of Indian team, Virat Kohli had a long and inspiring journey.

Virat Kohli was born on 5th November 1988 in Delhi.His Father, Prem Kohli was a criminal lawyer and his mother, Saroj Kohli is a Housewife.

When he was a youngster, he play cricket with his friends, and people around saw his talent. His father then send him to a proper cricket coaching academy.

From there he learnt and improve his game further, and got opportunity to play for Delhi’s Ranji team. He performed pretty well there and in July 2006, Kohli was selected for India under-19 cricket squad for their tour to England. He scored there at an average of 49 in test matches. Later, he performed very well against Pakistan u-19 team.

He came to spotlight when he was playing Ranji match against Karnataka and he came to know that his father has passed away. He still continue to play the game and made 90 runs and then went for his father funeral. Now, that’s show how much dedicated he was towards cricket.

“The way I approached the game changed that day. I just had one thing in my mind that I have to play for my country and live that dream for my dad” – Virat kohli on his innings against Karnataka.

In February 2008, he was made the captain of India under 19 cricket team for world cup and returned back home with world cup in the hand. His performance was very good in the world cup, as a result of that, he got selected in IPL for RCB franchise. He mature and grew his game from there on and got selected for Indian cricket team.

He got his chances and established himself in Indian cricket side at number 3 batting position. He became a run machine for India, as every time he came to bat, he made big scores.

He was made Indian ODI cricket team captain when M.S. Dhoni resigns from his captaincy.

Currently Kohli has played 199 ODI matches and had made 8767 runs with an average of 55.13 and 30 hundreds in his name.
