The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is due to be played in Australia from 18 October to 15 November 2020, Earlier women’s version was competed in February and March earlier this year.
Organizers of this Year’s ICC T20 World Cup are making plans if the event cannot go ahead as planned but remain hopeful the October-November will proceed as scheduled.
“We’re wanting to give ourselves the best possible chance of going ahead as planned, so there’s no imminent or quick decision,” Hockley said.
“Hopefully it’s all resolved and we go ahead. In the event that it isn’t completely resolved, we are looking at all the different scenarios. Which is only prudent.
“They are collective discussions involving the organizing committee, the ICC, all the members. We will keep everyone updated if anything changes.
“But for now, we’re just under seven months away. We’ve got a bit of time.”
